Sand waves analysis

SonarScope permits to plot straight lines segments (or broken lines) on the image and to display the data as curves. If the image is multilayered one can obtain the profile for all the layers

SonarScope automatically estimates the average wavelength of a signal even if this signal is given on very few samples (less than one period).

In this example we can put into correspondence reflectivity and bathymetry on the blue segment. We note that the reflectivity maximums correspond to troughs between sand waves and inversely. This suggests that reflective materials, more dense, accumulate on the lower part of sand waves - which is plausible, considering gravity effect.
